Just a Simple Post

Ayyy, Friends! I know it's been a long time since I last posted but I'm here now!

I'm a little rusty with my freelance writing since all I've been writing recently are essays and research papers, so cut me some slack, alright?

Who Are You? I'm not asking about what you like to do for fun, or what your favorite color is. I'm asking who YOU are. What makes you you?

Who are you really?

Are you a caregiver? Do you enjoy making other people happy?

Are you one of those people that waves to strangers on the street? Or are you one of those people that is more reclusive, but knows when to offer his/her hand?

What makes you YOU?

Over the past three months I've really learned a lot about myself. I've learned that I'm an organized messy. I've learned that I don't like when people touch my stuff without asking. I've learned that I don't like to study in public areas where everyone is watching me.

But that's not all. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

I've learned that I'm the weirdo that prefers to sit outside and read, instead of watching netflix on my phone on campus.

I've learned that I'm not the strongest solider in God's army, but I won't give up as easily as you may think.

I've learned that kindness goes a long way, not just for the recipient but for the person offering it as well.

I've learned that the people you thought would be there for you whenever you needed them, leave. But with that, I've learned that sometimes a stranger can be a better friend to you than someone you've known your whole life.

I've learned that a simple compliment can go so far as to wipe away your tears, and mend a little part of your soul.

You'd be surprised with how much your life effects another.

You'd be surprised by how many people love you.

So don't give up. Don't let others bring you down. You deserve so much better than that. And so does another. So don't turn down an opportunity to love someone.

Dare To Let Go

Cellular Devices and Social Media. Why do these two programs/objects consume so much of our time? Why do we let them? What's the point? I've mentioned in past posts about how important it is to recognize the beauty of the world outside of our devices. And I also know you probably don't believe me, but it's true. Stress isn't easy, that's for sure. But when you look for the bright side in it all, it creates space to let you breathe. Yes, take a deep breath. Don't worry about the future, worry about you.
